Movie Remakes that Didn't Suck

As I've mentioned numerous occasions before, most of the times Hollywood makes an attempt to remake a film, it fails miserably. Either it tries to vary an excessive amount of of the plot, or the actors don't do as good a job as they did in the unique.
However, to be truthful, I figured it was time to take a couple of minutes and praise the few movie remakes that not only did the unique justice; they might truly be higher than the original.

For that cause, I would like to share my listing of the top Hollywood movie remakes that did not suck.

My one other film review you'll find by link Bridge to Terabithia: Love, Loss, and Friendship - movie review by 123movies.haus.

War of the Worlds (2005) - To be sincere, I think the performing within the 1953 film was barely higher and I simply didn't purchase Tom Cruise as a father figure. But, the trendy special results technology made a huge distinction and made this movie the model I would suggest seeing.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005) - If given a alternative between this movie and the 1971 Willie Wonka amp; the Chocolate Factory, I would choose each because they every make an excellent case. The original was extra of a family film whereas the re-make was a bit darker. In any case, the remake, at very least, was nearly as good as the original.

The Stepford Wives (2004) - I really watched the 1975 authentic and this one again-to-back one Saturday morning. I positively prefer the remake. The appearing is a bit more plausible and I like the added twist at the very end (the one that reveals who was really responsible for constructing the robotic wives).

Halloween (2007) - When I went to see this film at the theater, I thought there was no method it will stay as much as the unique (filmed in 1978). But, I really loved this one as a result of it focused a bit extra on Michael Myers' childhood and added a bit more depth to the monster that may later terrorize teenagers.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (1988) - I actually didn't know this was a re-make of the 1964 movie Bedtime Story until I saw the latter on television. While the unique has its deserves, it could't stay up to Steve Martin's performance in the remake.

The Pink Panther (2006) - Since we're as regards to Steve Martin, I may even throw this film on the listing. Much like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, both the unique and the remake are ok where it's onerous to decide on between them. But, the remake of The Pink Panther stays on the list as a result of it was pretty much as good as the first.

The Fly (1986) - Much like War of the Worlds, the acting within the 1958 authentic was slightly higher. But, higher make up and technology made Jeff Goldblum's transformation much more believable.

King Kong (2005) - Much like different films on this list, the remake of the 1933 film of the same name doesn't make it because it was higher; it makes it because it stored lots of the stuff that made the unique great however added some other twists that made the film unique in its personal way. It complimented authentic without necessarily outdoing the unique.

Little Shop of Horrors (1986) - First, Audrey II was far more believable than her 1960 model. Secondly, I favored the actual fact they made this more of a comedy than a horror movie. And, the musical performances of men like Rick Moranis and Steve Martin (again) were very spectacular.

Red Dragon (2002) - Let's be trustworthy, who makes the higher Hannibal Lecter; Brian Cox (from the 1986 model, Manhunter) or Anthony Hopkins? The reality Red Dragon is on this record should offer you my alternative.

Scarface (1983) - Not only is this movie better than the 1932 version; many individuals I speak to do not even understand the 1932 model (which is about an Al Capone-like gangster) even exists.
